Christa was born and raised in Alabama and North Florida by a busy single mother who taught her a strong work ethic and how to be resilient and independant. She’s been an artist since she can remember. She spent her time as an only child drawing from life and obsessing over animated cartoons. Her passion turned into her direction in high school, where she began to excel in advanced art classes.

This led her to the decision to go to the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in 2007, where she met Frank in her first class on her first day. The power couple spent 2 years studying animation while Frank was teaching Christa to tattoo. They ended up switching majors in 2009 to Illustration where they focused on drawing, painting & tattooing. In 2012, they opened Into the Woods Gallery shortly after graduating and the rest is history.

Christa loves photo-realism, the freedom of watercolor and rendering Disney & Pixar style characters. She is currently a Founder & Artist on The Battle Bunnies NFT project, which allows her to create with no boundaries taking her art to new levels. When she’s not creating art, she’s loving on her dogs, playing games with Frank & enjoying South Florida weathe
