Chris has been an artist his whole life.
When he was 7 years old, his mom came home with a butterfly tattoo on her shoulder. This amazed Chris and planted the seed that would blossom into his successful career as a professional tattoo artist.
After studying Animation at The School of Visual Arts in NYC, Chris spent a few years having fun as a professional Body Piercer and traveling to tattoo conventions all over the United States.
In 1996, Chris met Shotsie Gorman, a well-known tattooer. This led to the start of his official Tattoo apprenticeship that set him on his path.
Chris has watched the world of tattooing change over the years to a more serious art medium watching talented artists choosing needles over brushes. However, He says no matter how big the tattoo industry gets, the best parts have stayed the same.
Throughout his 25 years exploring his craft, Chris is most inspired by his clients, their stories and trust in him. After countless hours and years connecting with a variety of people, he’s come to believe the experience of getting a tattoo is just as meaningful and memorable as the artwork itself.
Chris’s portfolio isn’t just a gallery of images, but a collaborative collection of individual people and the stories they tell.
